Arvi Kay Pattay Recipe For Everyday

Arvi leaves 6-8
Gram flour 1 cup
Cumin seeds 1 tsp, roasted and powdered
Red chillies 1/2 tbsp, powdered
Ajwain 1/2 tsp
Tamarind paste 2 tbsp
Salt To taste
Oil 1 cup for frying
Wash leaves thoroughly and spread out in a colander to dry. In a bowl mix gram flour with all ingredients and little water if required. Spread the gram flour mixture on the back of each leaf and role it up. Heat water in a large pan and place a fine colander on it, place all rolled leaves on it and steam gently, turn when one side is done. Remove from heat. Heat oil in a large karhai and fry the leaves onlow heat till golden brown. Drain and spread on absorbent kitchen paper and with sharp knife cut into four pieces. Serve hot. If you want to serve these in a curry, use the recipe for gram flour khandoyan curry.
